Naming People and Things

Ever wonder how authors come up with names? Me too! I have the hardest time coming up with names for both people and places. Naming the myriad of characters that historicals seem to require is time consuming, unless you’re satisfied with every maid being named Alice or Mary. Cultural context and time period compound this task. Since I’m no etymology expert I’ve come to rely on these websites to speed the process along.
